We are a directory service — we do not perform HVAC work, employ technicians, or guarantee work quality. Our role is to provide accurate, up-to-date information so that you can make informed decisions about which contractor to contact.

Our directory listings are compiled from multiple data sources to ensure comprehensive coverage and accuracy:

• Public business registrations: We aggregate information from publicly available sources including state contractor licensing databases, business registries, and Google Business Profiles.

• Contractor submissions: HVAC companies can submit their business information directly through our platform for inclusion in the directory.

• Review platforms: We reference publicly available review data from Google and other review platforms to provide rating context for listed businesses.

• Industry databases: We cross-reference contractor data with HVAC industry associations and licensing boards where available.

We aim to update our database regularly, though the frequency varies by data source. Contractor-submitted information is processed within 7 business days. If you notice outdated or incorrect information about your business, see the Corrections section below.

Listing Verification Process

We take several steps to verify the accuracy of our listings before they appear in search results:

1. Business existence check: We verify that the company has a verifiable business address and active phone number.

2. Category validation: We confirm that the business provides HVAC-related services and assign it to the most appropriate service category.

3. Location verification: We geocode the business address and confirm it falls within the listed city and state.

4. Duplicate detection: We run deduplication checks using business name, address, phone number, and place identifiers to prevent duplicate listings.

Verification does not constitute an endorsement. A listing on US HVAC Spot means we have confirmed basic business information — it does not guarantee work quality, licensing status, or insurance coverage. Homeowners should always independently verify contractor credentials before hiring.

Review Moderation

Reviews displayed on our platform come from verified sources and are subject to the following moderation standards:

• We do not edit, filter, or selectively display reviews to benefit any business.

• Reviews containing hate speech, personal threats, irrelevant content, or obvious spam are removed.

• We do not accept payment to remove negative reviews. Businesses may respond to reviews through our platform.

Editorial Independence and Conflicts of Interest

Maintaining user trust requires clear boundaries between editorial content and commercial relationships. Our policies include:

• No pay-for-ranking: Listings are organized by objective criteria including ratings, reviews, and relevance. No business can pay to appear higher in search results.

• Advertising disclosure: If we display advertising or sponsored content in the future, it will be clearly labeled as such and separated from organic listings.

• Staff restrictions: Team members with personal or financial relationships with listed HVAC companies do not participate in editorial decisions affecting those companies.

Corrections, Updates, and Removal Requests

We are committed to accuracy and respond to correction requests promptly:

• Factual corrections: If your business information is incorrect (address, phone number, hours, services), you can submit a correction through our contact form. Corrections are reviewed and applied within 5 business days.

• Listing removal: Business owners may request removal of their listing at any time. Removal requests are processed within 10 business days.

• Content disputes: If you believe editorial content contains factual errors, contact our editorial team with specific details and supporting evidence. We will investigate and issue corrections where warranted.

Content Standards

All editorial content published on US HVAC Spot — including blog posts, guides, and category descriptions — adheres to the following standards:
